JA&RE REACT rescue equipment MUST ONLY be used by trained persons. It is the responsibility of the user to be trained in  appropriate confined space rescue techniques and first aid techniques, (if applicable), BEFORE using JA&RE REACT equipment. THE LIFE OF THE CASUALTY DEPENDS UPON YOUR TRAINING AND SKILL.

The SLIX50

and SLIX50 AR

The SLIX50 was first developed as a drag stretcher for

very small places.

In 2002 we were was approached by the Royal Navy to help overcome a severe extraction problem onboard ship.

The SLIX50 was modified to include a vertical hauling

capability and optional skirt was included (SLIX50 AR).

The RN was delighted.

The addition of 4 x 400k rated haul and security line attachment points, crutch straps and the facility to incorporate the SLIX Spinal Splint makes the SLIX50 a very versatile stretcher, now with the added capacity of a semi-horizontal haul.

The optional AR ( articulated ) Skirt wraps around the upper legs - giving extra handling straps and leg protection.

The flexible attachment to the SLIX50 skin, allows a degree of bending in those very tight places.

The Skirt may be detached if not required.

Adding only 6mm to the girth the SLIX50 is the ultimate in skinny confined space stretchers.

To some degree the SLIX50 Standard has been replaced by the SLIX50 Combined, with its permanently attached Spinal Splint, but JA&RE REACT have decided to retain the SLIX50 in the SLIX range to give users a wider choice.

The SLIX50 is a ‘ arms out’ stretcher and unconscious casualties should be fitted with a cervical collar and you may find it better to use soft wrist cuffs to prevent the arms from flopping about.

Have a look at the SLIX50 Combined. The SLIX50 is the same configuration without the built in Spinal Splint.       SLIX50 Combined

It can be added or removed with or without the casualty onboard.
